What is Job Profile of SBI Clerk?

How to Become a SBI Clerk ?

To become an SBI Clerk, you must have passed graduation, the college or university from which you have passed should be recognized by the Government of India. If you have passed graduation in any subject of Science, Arts, Commerce then you can fill SBI Clerk exam.

If you are final year students of graduation then you can still fill this form but when you pass this exam then you have to show the certificate of graduation at the time of document verification.

To become an SBI clerk, you should have good knowledge of computer because all the work of clerk is computer based. For this you should have complete knowledge of computer.

SBI Clerk Exam Age limit

If we talk about the age limit, then it should be at least 20 years and maximum 28 years, while additional relaxation is given to the reserved category which is 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, 10 years for PWD and 7 years for widowed or divorced women’s.

What is the percentage required to fill the form?

To fill the form of SBI Clerk, you only need to pass graduation, percentage is not seen in it.

How many stages are there in the exam?

There are two stages of this exam. First Prelims and second Mains. Unlike Bank PO exam, there is no interview here.

Without clearing the prelims you cannot sit in the mains, to clear the prelims exam you have to score minimum marks and it is qualifying paper i.e. its marks do not add to your merit list. Both these exams are conducted by online mode.

SBI Clerk Exam Syllabus

If you want to pass the exam, then you should know its syllabus very well, first we talk about what is the syllabus of prelims?

Questions are asked from 3 subjects in Prelims, which is a total of 100 questions. Each question is of one mark i.e. total paper is of 100 marks, whose time is one hour.

• 30 questions are asked from English language which are of 30 marks, whose time is 20 minutes .

• 35 questions are asked from Numerical Ability, whose time is 20 minutes .

• 35 questions are asked from Reasoning Ability, whose time is 20 minutes.

After clearing the prelims exam, you have to appear in the mains exam in a few days. The mains exam syllabus is as follows.

Questions are asked from 4 subjects in which total 190 questions are of 200 marks. For which you are given 2 hours 40 minutes.

• 50 questions are asked from General / Financial Awareness, which are of 50 marks, whose time is 35 minutes.

• 40 questions are asked from General English, which are of 40 marks, whose time is 35 minutes.

• 50 questions are asked from Quantitative Aptitude which are of 50 marks, whose time is 45 minutes.

• 50 questions are asked from Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude, which are of 60 marks, whose time is 45 minutes.

You can give the exam in Hindi and English, which you have to choose before giving the paper in the computer.

What is the salary of SBI Clerk?

If we talk about the salary of SBI Clerk, then it ranges from ₹ 17900 to ₹ 45920, along with this many types of allowances are available. On the other hand, if we talk about starting basic pay, then it is ₹ 19900.

How to prepare for SBI Clerk?

First of all, to prepare for SBI Clerk, you have to understand its syllabus well . And after that you have to read each and every topic thoroughly. First of all you should make a time table for all the subjects and follow it regularly.

Give more time to the subject in which you are weak in the time table. After that you solve the previous years questions, so that you can know how the pattern of the exam is. Solve last year’s questions regularly only then you will be able to crack SBI Clerk exam.
