What is a Village Development Officer ( VDO )?
VDO ( Village Development Officer ) is a government post under the Ministry of Rural Development. To become a Village Development Officer, you must have passed 12th and in some states, 12th along with a diploma in computer is also sought for this post.

VDO Exam Date
There is no fixed time for its Exam to come, but most of the exams come between June and July. By the way, different states have different vacancies in different months. Wherever government requires employees, then the vacancies are taken out by the Ministry of Rural Development.
VDO exam pattern
Its paper is divided into 3 parts. It is a written exam which is for 300 marks. 2 hours are given to solve this. 2 marks are given for each correct answer. And for a wrong answer, marks for a correct answer are deducted i.e. There is a Negative marking.

• General Intelligence: 50 questions are asked from this which is of 100 marks.

What is the VDO syllabus?
The paper of VDO is divided into three parts. n the first part there is Hindi writing; in which students are asked about the Hindi language like questions about Alankar, Samas, Synonyms, Antonyms, etc. General knowledge is asked in the second part and reasoning is asked in the last part.
What is the salary of a VDO?
The salary of a VDO is around ₹ 22500 per month. Along with this, many types of allowance are Given. But with time later a VDO can be promoted to higher positions like ADO, or BDO.
